Best Saskatoon volunteer opportunities for meeting people?

I’m 18+ and looking to start volunteering in Saskatoon soon. I’ve never volunteered before, so I’m mostly looking to hear people’s personal experiences/recommendations because I’m not really sure what organizations have the best environment or what would be the best fit.

I’d like something where I can genuinely help people, but also meet others and make friends along the way. I’m a student so flexible scheduling is ideal, and I can drive anywhere in the city.

Open to indoor or outdoor, long term or short term. Any places you’d personally recommend, especially ones with a welcoming/social environment?

Hey, I’m a second-year business student thinking about switching from management to accounting.

I got 94 in management accounting and 92 in financial accounting, and accounting has been my highest grades. My goal is corporate law, so GPA matters a lot.

How big is the difficulty jump in third and fourth year accounting? Is it realistic to maintain high 80s or 90s, or do most people see a drop?

My other grades are around low 90s, with management information systems in the low 80s. I’m trying to pick a major where I can keep my GPA high.

Would you recommend switching?
