Howdy folks,
This is regarding my 2000 Toyota Camry with an automatic transmission, the 2.2l engine, and around 190k miles.
There's now a metal knocking sound when the engine is running and around 1800-2200 rpm after we replaced the valve cover gasket because it was leaking oil from the rear part of the valve cover. The pcv valve was also completely snapped off before we replaced the gasket and we replaced that and the hose running to it as well.
I torqued the nuts around the spark plug caverns to 13 ft/lbs each. I read that 17 ft lbs was appropriate, but it felt like too much so I stopped there.
Attached is a video showing it starting up, then revving to the RPMs where it appears. I'm trying to decide if I should take the valve cover back off, or if it might be something else, or if I've totally destroyed this lol.
Any help is appreciated, thank you!
