Hi Piano-folks! I am curious to know those who can play this piece. How do you press your thumb on the Gs? Do you let the bone hit the keys or the flesh of the thumb?

I have been practicing this for months now and have noticed when playing the above mentioned bars, my thumb hurts. 😅
