I vaguely remember reading a story that may have been included in a Gothic horror collection, in the story the man goes to a villa, and while staying there becomes obsessed with a painting of a woman, and at some point finds a hallway of members of the family that own the villa, specifically the head of the house, these painting ls were very old, later in the story the man leaves and cones back trying to get a woman who lived at the villa to leave with him, but she refused, it may have taken place in a latin American setting, i vaguely remember vampiric themes, i swear I read this book, but ive never been able to find it again please help
