NPC vendetta

Does anyone else have any certain NPCs that you always antagonize/fight/rob? Pic related, every time I'm in the Heartlands area I always make sure to stop by this house and keep the farmer in check. I never kill him, but eventually I'd pull up and he'd immediately run out of the house and start shooting me, lol

Shooting at the sky

Is there a purpose for the ability to point straight up at the air and shoot or does it just look cool?

Found out the Farmer's Hat can spawn in Uncle's Cattle Rustling mission in Chapter 4.

Found out today the Farmer's Hat is not only on a single NPC in Strawberry, but can spawn on the head of one of the rustlers already at Uncle's mission!

Finished my first play through

I’m not one to get emotional over video game characters, but god damn this ending hit hard.

Arthur Morgan has got to be the best written video game character of all time, and in my 39 years of life, I’ve played a lot of video games with a lot of great protagonists.

The depth of character he has, the range of emotions he’s capable of, and the growth of character he shows through the game is incredible.

Old RDR2 RP - ClassyPax

Hello all! This is super niche but thought I’d ask anyways. I just finished watching Mr. Moon’s “Armadillo Trail” YouTube VOD. I’ve found a few other characters in the series have perspectives on YouTube, but was wondering if anyone knew where I could watch ClassPax’s (Mr. Brown) perspective.

Anyone have any insight? Thanks!

Ps. If you haven’t watched it it’s pretty entertaining 😂

Most amazing camp spot

You know how even if the cinematic shows you discounting at the spot you want to camp it always moves a bit? Hell, sometimes more than a bit.

Anyways, I was hunting moose (as I posted the other day), near Barrow Lagoon, and I wanted to sleep. I did not expect to be setting up at the top of the world. I mean, check those views! I enjoyed the spot for a bit, first time something like this has happened in many hours. The snow looked unreal.

When getting down, I pretty much had go skid all the way down with my horse, and my temp didn't even try and follow. I moved around, but there wasn't anything I could do, he just wouldn't come. Level 4 bonding apaloosa lives up there now. Good boah.

As someone who came from Nintendo Switch games, Oh my God voice acted dialogue is the best!

I swear, before I ever played RDR and RDR2 I played a lot of Tears Of The Kingdom and Pokémon, and if you know anything about those games, they have minimal to no voice acting. You have to read every single line of dialogue yourself and sometimes they just keep talking. And to add salt to the wound, i'm a guy who likes to explore all possible interactions and dialogue combinations so it takes a looooooooong time for me and it's really tedious (i know that part is a me thing but ya know what I mean).

But, in Red Dead Redemption (2), being able to hear the voices, not having to read all of it is amazing to me. Every voice has their own quirk and tone and style and volume and personality and so on!

The only things I have to read are the in-game books and pamphlets you sometimes get but I enjoy those.

Idk if anyone else had this but I just love it so much.

Just finished Ch. 6… Wow

This game was amazing, idk how I feel about playing as John now after my long journey with Arthur tho. I’m def gonna replay this but ig I’ll finish the epilogue first. What an incredible game, so much detail and the characters and story was so amazing. I just hated how hard Dutch fell, he didn’t change tho, just became more of who he truly was LOL. I wish I would have spent more time playing this game and not finished it so fast. Man I miss Arthur, I had everything customized fully…

What’s the most confused you been about losing honour for something you did in game.

I found a O'Driscoll camp with 4-6 guys in it in the middle of no where. So I run up take them out loot etc. I see they had a fish, a salmon strung on some wood hanging down. I cut it to pick it up then heard the ding with the red honour symbol indicating I lost some.

So I thought to myself, taking out 4-6 guys is ok, looting an entire camp is okay but cutting down there fish to take it is one step to far? Lol.

General hunting tip, based on personal experience.

Who knows if this is even real, but personally, I’ve found that when I’m hunting for literally anything that DOESN’T require the Varmint Rifle (deer, ram, elk, bear, etc), having the Varmint Rifle equipped and in Arthur’s hands increase the likeliness of an animal spawn.

To give an example, I was searching for 3 IRL days (3-4 hours each day) for 3-star bucks for the trapper. Always on foot, different locations in the map, crouched, cover scent, the whole nine yards, but I always had a Springfield Rifle on the shoulder, and a bow on the back. Found nothing. As soon as I started walking around with the Varmint Rifle in hand instead of the bow, 3-star bucks were everywhere. I’d just switch to the Springfield when I found them.

I really do think the game takes into account your location AND your weapon loadout and changes spawn rates. I SWEAR that having the Varmint Rifle in hand at least HELPS trick the game a little. Like I said, could be totally in my head, but in my experience it’s helped a lot.

Has anyone else noticed/experienced this?

Dewberry Creek O’Driscoll Camp

So I’ve slaughtered the gang, looted them and the camp - not one shred of honour lost.

If I cut down this fish, on the edge of camp, I lose honour! WTF?

Played through several times and it’s the first time I noticed the fish so hadn’t come across this before.

Are there other instances like this?
