I’m only a sophomore right now, but I know I want to move to Chicago after I graduate.
I just don’t understand how people actually pull that off...moving from Tennessee to a new city, finding roommates, getting an apartment, and landing a job all at the same time.
Like, what’s the order here? Do you find roommates first (and how are people even doing that?), then get an apartment, and just hope you land a job in time? Or do you secure a job first - maybe stay with your parents in the meantime - and then try to figure out housing and roommates afterward?
And how are people even getting jobs in Chicago while they’re still living in another state? Or do you get a job where you already live and then ask to relocate to Chicago later or something? 😭😭😭
