Mortal Kombat II Extended Cut?
Firstly my quick review:
I just left the theatre after seeing the movie and I’m stoked, it was a great experience from start to finish and a rare sequel where I think the first movie compliments this one instead of the other way around.
I also appreciated how it really felt like the director and everyone involved listened to fans and their criticisms from the first movie, the Easter eggs this time around were great and while I didn’t mind Cole or the arcana stuff, >!I was pleasantly surprised at Cole being killed so early and I’m not mad that I didn’t hear the word “arcana” once!<.
Towards the end of the movie I started to wonder if an extended cut exists, some moments definitely felt edited or shortened such as >!when Raiden and Shang Tsung are together at the end, I felt like a fight between them was coming before there was a cut and it never happened!<.
I can only hope for more gore in an extended cut too, you can never have too much in anything Mortal Kombat.
