Hi everyone! I’m a Filipino medical doctor currently exploring migration pathways to either Spain or Germany, and I was hoping to hear from people with firsthand experience sana, especially fellow Filipino MDs.
I’ve started doing my own research already regarding licensure recognition, language requirements, residency/training pathways, and overall migration process, but I feel like lived experiences would help me understand the reality better beyond what agencies and websites say.
Some things I’m curious about:
• How difficult was the medical license recognition process?
• How long did the whole process take?
• How financially difficult was the transition period?
• Are you happy with the work-life balance and compensation now?
• Would you recommend Spain or Germany for Filipino doctors?
I’m particularly interested in Spain because of the culture/language and personal interest, but I’m also seriously considering Germany since my sibling is already there working as a nurse, so I may have some family support if I choose that route.
