This bill is still fundamentally flawed, with definitions that still include open source and hobbyist projects, IoT devices, etc. In addition, websites must now also request an age bracket signal (previously it was just applications), and interestingly enough, devices connected to the Internet via Ethernet don't count as an "Internet-enabled device" per Section 5. So the hard drive on my XBOX One S died, and I replaced it. I can't get the files of the old hard drive, so I have to go the offline system update route (You download a file named OSU1.zip from the Xbox support website, extract it to an NTFS formatted USB stick, yadda yadda).

The new hard drive is working, I can tell because when I plug it into a computer and look at the partition table after an update attempt, all the right partitions are there. I didn't put those there, the Xbox did. Even if I wipe the drive and try again, those same partitions show up again despite the update failing.

Every time I try to update, I get the error code E101 90070007 8B05000F. The files in the OSU1 zip file are dated for March 19th, and the version my Xbox is currently on (26100.7018) came out on March 24th. WTF Microsoft! Update your OSU1 file!
