I applied for UK Innovator Founder endorsement with a software/AI product.
The application included a working prototype / PoC tested on real game-studio advertising data. It was not just a mockup. The prototype processed CPI, ROAS and creative-level signals and produced model-driven strategic recommendations.
The refusal criticised the application for lack of technical validation, measurable output and proof that the system works.
The issue: our access logs show no UK-based visit to the prototype during the relevant assessment period. So it looks like the live prototype may never have been opened, despite being referenced in the application.
I requested the second assessment within the deadline on 22 March. The form had strict character limits, so I summarised the issues and pointed back to the original business plan, figures, prototype reference and financial model.
It has now been over 2 months. No outcome. No update. No explanation.
I’m now sending a formal complaint and a cross-reference note showing where each refusal point was already addressed in the original submission.
I’m not saying they had to approve the application. But rejecting a software product for “lack of technical validation” while apparently not opening the working prototype feels seriously unfair.
Has anyone else had an endorsing body ignore a second assessment request or fail to review linked product evidence?
