Location: San Diego, CA US. I 46F had a fairly routine heart surgery 3 days ago for an electrical issue. While in surgery the doctor found a mass. I’m waiting for the MRI but there is a strong possibility of me having open heart surgery and soon. The type of suspected mass could lead to embolisms, stroke and heart attack if not removed. I’ve always been pretty healthy so this comes as a shock.
I don’t have a will. I am unmarried and have a 26 year old daughter, she is listed as beneficiary on all of my bank accounts and small life insurance policy I have through work. I don’t own a house. I don’t have much. I’m just trying to prepare for the worst so if something does happen I want to make it as easy as possible for my daughter. What do I need to do ? I’ve heard of Advanced Directives but I don’t know what that is or how to make one. Can anyone give me a little advice please? Thank you.
