Is Ireland/Dublin going through a microeconomic crisis right now?

Maybe it’s just my perception, but lately Dublin feels financially heavier than ever. Even going out for a couple of beers feels expensive now, and restaurants have become almost unaffordable unless it’s a special occasion.

The housing crisis has obviously been going on for a long time, but during the last few months it feels even worse. Rent prices are still insane, moving apartments feels almost impossible, and there’s barely any availability.

At the same time, I keep hearing from people that finding a new job has become much harder. Even people already employed seem stuck because they can’t easily move to another company or get better offers.

Is anyone else feeling this? Does it feel like Ireland — or Dublin specifically, is entering some kind of economic slowdown or microeconomic crisis?
