Dilemma: UCLA Undeclared Eng vs. Harvey Mudd

Hi Y'all!

For some context: I committed to UCLA for Undeclared Engineering & Applied Science recently, but yesterday, I got off the Harvey Mudd Waitlist.

My general aim in the future is broadly to enter the tech industry (planning to do a major in CSE at both), and for this analysis, you can assume that cost is not a factor.

So my main questions are:

  1. From what y'all know: Does Harvey Mudd truly provide valuable and helpful opportunities that are significantly better than UCLA's, and are its eventual placements and outcomes significantly better to the point where I should simply ignore the benefit of UCLA's social scene?
  2. What are some educational benefits at UCLA that one might not be able to experience at Harvey Mudd?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
