Casabrews Buying Experience

Casabrews Buying Experience

I just want to start this off by saying I don't want this to come off as an enraged rant, but I do want to share the experience I had buying a machine for my partner's birthday, as it rubbed me the wrong way, and isn't how I like to do business, and I'm sure others can make an informed decision about businesses they like supporting.

To start, I want to fully acknowledge user error on my end - I've had ADHD my whole life, I'm familiar with my brand of being an idiot, yada yada.

I ordered a machine, did not receive a confirmation email, but did receive an email about an affiliate program, and then an email telling my the item I wanted was still in my cart. I checked my email to make sure I didn't have a confirmation of my order, clicked on the email that was reminding me about items in my cart, saw that it was the machine I meant to get for my partner, and ordered it. I immediately got a confirmation email. I still only have the one confirmation email.

Then I got two espresso machines in the mail. (I'm sure y'all saw where this was going)

I reached out to return one, which they will allow me to do, but when I asked them to pay the shipping, as it was their system's mistake to not send out a confirmation email and send the cart reminder instead, they said the automated system had worked as designed and I should check my order details in the future (which, I would consider checking my email to be, but I suppose I could have combed through my credit card history better).

I am less upset about them not covering the return shipping than I am about them admitting that their automated system was designed to do exactly this. That feels super off putting to me, and we will not be repeat customers with Casabrews in the future.

Photo offered so you can see there is only one confirmation number ever sent to me.

(If I have mismarked the flair or am in the wrong subreddit I apologize, this was just where I went to research brands, and would have personally found this information useful to my own research)
