Pls help im struggling so bad.

So it might be the faulty cable because i did find it in my garage but ut seems to charge from the cable but still none of the apps i tried have even detected ANYTHING and i think its probably just the cable bzt i feel like its probably fixablewithouth a new cable. Can anyone help me?
