New to the digital world

Hey y’all, I haven’t done any kind of recording on a computer in like twenty years, last time I did I was just recording my cabinet into a daw called audacity. I’ve never owned a computer before either, it was the singers. But I got my first computer a MacBook Pro and a focusrite solo. I’ve seen some people recreate album tones using their amp and an ir. But like I said I’ve never had a computer before and am not quite a tech savvy person. But I would like to get any info anyone would like to share about a good easy to learn D.A.W. Amp sims for thrash/ metal music. Same thing with ir’s. I’ll probably try to find a subreddit for NAMM the free amp modeler to try and learn how to find captures and use them.
