My significant other and I have been together for 4 years with a short split. After 10 months, his wife who he was separated from for 2 years found out about us and decided she wanted him back. I understood this and we split. 8 months later they called it quite. I was never with him while he was with her. We reconnected and it's been 2.5 years. I met his son 2 years ago. His son plays sports and I have not been able to attend games as she's told her son it makes her uncomfortable if I attend. Son is 15. I decided during fall sports that this needed to end. Son would like me to attend games but is respecting his mom's feelings. I made it a non negotiable for spring sports. Told my significant other he needs to discuss with his ex and his son. Am I wrong to want to attend games after so much time? I'm thinking long term as well...like graduation and wedding etc. Thanks for reading and sharing.
