I’m attending a friend’s wedding in Greece later this year and will need to apply for a Schengen visa (I’m currently in the UK on a Skilled Worker visa).
A couple of details about my travel plans:
• My outgoing flight is part of a group booking arranged with other guests
• My return flight is booked separately by me
• I may stay a few extra days after the wedding for some sightseeing.
I’ve previously had 2 Schengen visas approved without issues, but I want to make sure I include everything necessary this time given the mixed booking situation.
From what I understand, I should include:
• Wedding invitation
• Invitation letter from my friend (the couple)
• Flight bookings (both outbound and return, even if separate)
• Hotel/accommodation bookings (including the extra days).
Is there anything else you’d strongly recommend including to strengthen the application? For example:
• Cover letter explaining the split bookings and extended stay?
• Proof of relationship with the friend?
• Travel itinerary for the extra days?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who’s applied in a similar situation.
