I’ve been considering this as a career path, but idk if it’s worth it. I’m currently 24, and I currently work a somewhat decent retail job. I’m so lost, and I don’t know what I’m doing. I just want a decent career path where I’m doing work that is actually important, and that I actually like because I don’t want to be stuck in life working the job that I’m working, and I’m scared my parents will spend a bunch of money putting me through pharmacy tech school, and I end up hating it and quitting. If there are any pharmacy techs here who can give me any advice, I would really appreciate it.

24(M) currently work a decent retail job. I have been thinking about pursuing pharmacy tech as a career, but I don’t know if it’s worth it. I have heard a lot of people tell me mixed things from it is a decent living to it’s absolutely terrible and not worth it. My biggest concern for me is that I’ll pursue this as a career, end up hating it and quitting, and then I’m left without a job and no career path because for me, if I really hate a job, I’m 100% going to quit. I just want a decent career path where I’m doing something that I like, and I’ve kind of been cornered into considering this as a career path. Any advice helps.
