making stupid products look slightly less cursed

was scrolling through amazon looking for dumb mother’s day gag gifts and somehow found some of the most atrocious product imaginable. naturally i wanted to see if i could turn it into something at least a little aesthetic instead of looking like a crime against design.

so here’s pt. 2 of me trying to rebrand this chicken bag into something people would unironically buy.

i lowkey love this.. its giving retro vintage designer handbag. would y'all get this for your mum?

cheriyal art inspired sari concept based on traditional art from hyderabad, where she’s from <3 (ai-generated using acciowork)

and before anyone gets mad 😭 there’s absolutely nothing wrong with wearing western clothing + i know a lot of people genuinely liked her actual outfit. i just thought it would’ve been really cool to see her experiment with something more artistic/culturally inspired for the met gala

all love to her tho!!

Suz runs my Shopify store and lowkey hard carries. shes a single mum who works two jobs
Walter (ifykyk) is my dealer. He finds my suppliers through the dark arts of Alibaba/1688.
Cody just codes and never speaks. Bro survives entirely off Monster and 2 hours of sleep.
Hypebeast Henry writes my social captions like he’s trapped in a skibidi toilet sigma grindset TikTok edit.
Bullshit Detector Benny (my personal fav) gives me reality checks and tells me my margins are cooked, delusional, and financially irresponsible.
Pam handles my product photos. She’s kinda slay fr.

yall got better names for my digital sweatshop? can you tell i completely lost my mind lmao

be honest, do these look realistic enough for an initial test or do they still give off obvious ai vibes?

u/Mammoth_Slip_5533 — 9 days ago

i’m at the point where i can’t afford to keep ordering every product sample just to test if people even want it 😭 so for this one i used acciowork to generate product photos first before committing more money into inventory/content

be honest, do these look realistic enough for an initial test or do they still give off obvious ai vibes?

I moved to a new country for work and was invited to lunch at my boss's place last minute. I felt like a bottle of wine was too empty so I made some fuzzy wire flowers to go with it. I've been so busy with work that sometimes I forget how much joy this hobby brings me.

there was a delay with my sample arriving so i started playing around with generating some product images using acciowork. originally i wanted to wait, get the product in hand and shoot my own photos because i honestly hate most supplier images sooo much (especially the plain white background ones ew)

i wasn’t expecting much since ai images used to look terrible, but it seems like they’ve gotten better. the photos actually turned out pretty decent, and it’s something i know i couldn’t replicate without spending a lot of time setting up. they also look quite accurate to me

once i figured out the general vibe i wanted, it started feeling like something i could standardize and reuse across products

but now i’m second guessing… i don’t want to end up misleading or accidentally “scamming” people. technically i didn’t shoot these myself, even if the product looks very similar to what’s shown

so where’s the line here? if the product matches but the images are ai-generated and a bit enhanced, is that just normal marketing or is it misleading?

for reference: first image is what i generated for a random product, second is the supplier photo

where do you guys draw the line with this?

this isn’t my exact product but it’s in the same niche. i’ve been testing ai generated images similar to these on accio work and wanted to see if they look too fake or if they’d actually work on a store. i tried my best to make sure it is as accurate to the actual product. these are some of the product pictures i generated and the last pic is the supplier photo i used.

is smth like this realistic enough?
