Hi I am new to digital cameras and want something affordable/easy to use. Ideally looking for something below £50 but maybe am willing to splurge more. I really love the look of the g7x. I’ve had pictures taken on there and they are stunning. I would also want it to be somewhat of a vlog camera as I am going on a trip really soon. I have no idea where to start looking and I’m not sure I can trust TikTok. I’d appreciate all recommendations thank you!

New York is one of my favourite places- a dream destination. I went for the first time in November 2024 and have been wanting to revisit since. Me and my brother are planning a trip to revisit in June in the summer (+ visit Boston this time) and we are both very excited. However, more and more people are saying not to revisit and visit some place new. We are thinking Japan but my heart is set on New York. I would like to hear any thoughts or discussions on what things to consider or whether I am limiting myself.

Both are quite pricey which is my only concern on whether I am ‘wasting’ a trip when I could travel someplace new. This is likely my last chance to travel with my brother as life is going to get more busy.
