Juice Bar anywhere?

Hiya! Besides Project Coffee in Bruntsfield, is there anywhere that does fresh squeezed juices with a variety of ingredients? Project Coffee, which we do love, has tiny glasses and like six ingredient options. It’s not really a cold pressed juice bar. Looking for a place that does coffees, fresh juice and some healthy food options like fresh sandwiches on grain bread etc.

Is that even a thing in Edinburgh? If not, why?

UK skin care recommendations for rosacea?

Recently moved from the US to the UK and while I’ve been stockpiling some products that I can get in the US (either can’t get them here or they’re way more expensive) it’s time I’ve moved over to a better routine with things I can easily get here!

(Almost)40yr female. I have lightly dry skin, not dry cracked or peeling, just dry to normal. I have rosacea which is only going to get worse here 🤦🏼‍♀️, I don’t struggle with breakouts unless I’m highly stressed and then it’s by the temples. I have fine lines which I like to attribute to smiling and my two toddlers. I wear CeraVe moisturizer sunscreen daily since I’m fair skinned. I spent a lot of time in the sun through my early 30s (surfing, soccer) so definitely have sun damage.

Biggest concerns: aging, rosacea and then dry skin.

Best products? Routines? Advice?!

3.5 year old “likes to poo in (my) pants”. Send help.

My daughter has been potty trained for a year. Over a year. And then we moved to a new country and she had a lot of setbacks but still understood the concept of using a toilet. Would go pee just fine. Then we had an incident at Nursery where I think one of the care workers made her feel really bad about pooping in the potty and my little stubborn girl has decided this is the hill she’s going to die on. She completely knows how to poop in the potty and if I’m holding an ice cream cone and tell her to go poop, she will go poop and come back and eat the ice cream, but she insists that she likes going in her pants more than she likes going on the toilet. She finds it funny. She is also left a surprise poop in the corner of said Nursery. She also goes to school in the forest a couple times a week and poops just fine there.

How do I convince a stubborn 3 1/2 year-old to poop in the potty. She knows how to do it, she knows she’s supposed to do it, she just chooses not to do it.

We got a poop expert, we had the Home Health Visitor out to talk to us, we’ve done all the right things. She’s not scared of the toilet, she’s not sensitive to the water, splash or anything like that. She happily goes when I tell her to go, and she gets super proud of herself and wants to look at the poop, because “poop belongs in the potty“. So it’s not that she’s not necessarily potty trained. It’s just she literally refuses to do it at nursery or sometimes at Forest school. And honestly sometimes at home she waits until she gets a nappy on at night and poops in that. And I can’t take the nappy off her at night because while she used to be dry through the night since moving she no longer is.

Sidenote, as her mom, I am super proud of her for taking a stand for herself instead of feeling shame, but I just really wish her stance would be something else 😂

Struggling with ROM

Me… again. Still struggling with my ROM. I’m now 11 weeks out, using cruches but putting weight on it. Endless amounts of leg lifts, albeit with that same pain on the medial side, can get a full rotation on a bike as of last week but cannot CANNOT for the life of me improve my ROM past 90 degrees. It just stops. It hurts, a lot, like an insane amount, but also just feels like a wall.

Has anyone struggled this much with ROM? What did you do?

4 grafts (3 pretty large) and TTO.

I’m also just getting a lot of weird pain these days. Like it’s more sensitive to touch, hurts on the outside and I get shooting pan down my tibia. I’m assuming a lot of that is from adding weight bearing?

In the UK you only really see your PT once a week and last week I was in NYC so it’s been a minute but I’m back to see him tomorrow. I hope he has ideas on how to improve ROM but so far hasn’t had much.
