Finally joined the club! 2017 Mk7 GTI @ 100k miles. What’s the "High Mileage" survival guide?
Hey everyone!
Finally joined the family with this 2017 Mk7! I’ve wanted one for a long time and I’m hyped to finally be behind the wheel. Please ignore a random screenshot about wiper blade in middle.
The car just hit 100,000 miles. I’m attaching the Carfax and service records for reference—the previous owner kept it well-maintained, but I want to be as proactive as possible since I plan on keeping this car forever.
• What are the "must-do" preventative maintenance items at this mileage?
• Any specific weak points I should have a mechanic inspect right away?
• I’m in Los Angeles—any recommendations for a solid, reasonable GTI specialist in the area?
I’d much rather spend a little on "preventative medicine" now than a lot on a "cure" later. Excited to finally be part of the group!
