If you read Christian books on Kindle, you probably know the pain:
you see “Romans 8:28” → you want to read it → you have to leave the book and search for it.

I built a tool that fixes this automatically.

You give it an EPUB and it:

  • Detects Bible references in the text (English and Spanish)
  • Converts them into tappable links
  • When you tap them on Kindle, the verse appears as a popup (or a footnote), without leaving the book

It basically makes Bible references behave like modern footnotes.

For legal reasons, it currently uses public domain Bible translations, so they are a bit older (World English Bible and Reina Valera 1909).

I originally built this just for myself, but decided to publish it in case it helps someone else. It’s free to use and I don’t plan to turn it into a big product — it will probably only receive bug fixes or very necessary improvements.

You can try it at: https://biblelinker.maltenzo.com.ar/

Quick disclaimer: this tool is still experimental, so you might run into bugs, missed references, or formatting quirks depending on the ebook. If you find anything broken or confusing, feel free to let me know so I can improve it.
