I’m a 27F and used to be really into running. I ran a half marathon, did tons of 5Ks and 10Ks, and was training for a full marathon at one point. I made it to 18 miles in my training runs before I got injured and had to stop.
Now I’m trying to get back into running after about 7 years of not being serious about it, and honestly it feels so much harder than it used to. I expected some loss of fitness, but this feels like starting over in a way I didn’t anticipate.
Has anyone else come back to running after a long break like this? How long did it take before things started feeling normal again, and what helped you stick with it while rebuilding your base?
