Minimal Immersive Whole Home Setup
Getting ideas on what others think would work best for my specific setup and use. I am wanting to spread various speakers and setups throughout my house but do it in a strategic way. I obviously don’t see the need to put Arc Ultras and Sub 4s in every room with a TV. The setup will be mainly for music 90% of the time, as our family are not big movie or TV watchers so the need to have thundering Dolby sound effects is minimal. I do prefer very immersive music and sound and so I’m looking for a little bit of higher end mixed with more “economical” choices in other spaces to create the best immersive environment possible. My budget is $2500-$3000. My Home Layout :
Downstairs Living Room/Kitchen - this area gets the most use and is our main hangout area. The space is open concept with the kitchen and dining room all sharing this open space. I am thinking of putting the Arc Ultra under the TV and either a Sub 4 or a Sub Mini with 2 Era 300s or 100s. ( I have a friend who has this setup with the 300s and love the immersive soundscape it gives in a medium size space but if I can save dollarswithout sacrificing too much immersive audio - I’m open to ideas) Upstairs Game Room/Gym: This space is used semi- often but plan to use it much more in the near future) There is a TV up there that is used 1/3rd of the time to watch occasional sports and the every so rare movie but the space is used most often to ride Peloton or lift weights. I could go with an Arc or smaller Beam for the space for both TV and music or open to ideas like just a couple of Era 100s in this space.
Downstairs Primary Bedroom: Occasional TV/movie watching mostly but more focused on having something decent to tie in with immersive music aspect from the living area or use it separate. Thinking Era 100 or One here.
Primary Bath: Wife would like something in this space that can tie immersively or can listen to separately if wanted. Was thinking a Era 100 or One here.
Outside 1/2 Covered Patio 1/2 uncovered with hot tub: small covered patio to place one Era 100 or Solo and then have a Move 2 to complement and also take across the patio to the hot tub area when using.
2 upstairs Teen bedrooms: would like to have something small with great immersive sound for their individual spaces.
Thank you in advance for any advice. Again, my goal is mostly an minimal home music system that can still create an immersive space or be used independently of each space if needed. Any ideas welcomed :)
