Oak shelving

As a special 1 off I was asked to make a design and shelving for a 5 meter high wall, cut this with my hobby cnc, the supporting wall didn’t support … so hence the design adaptation to make this strong and ‘support free’
This project helped support my leather working studio so much !

New upgrades to my workshop

I’ve build my container studio from the ground up, all materials used are reclaimed, the absolute best and latest improvement is the new lighting 💡and better storage solutions, I can’t wait to add an extra floor !

My beltcutter in use

Part 2 of the belt cutter build: last time I showed how I made this tool using my CNC, laser, and 3D printer, but failed to show the part where it actually cuts leather. So here it is in action, cutting through a doubled-up piece of leather: about 4.4 mm total.

I also added the making-of again for anyone who missed the first post. For a first prototype, I’m really pleased with how steady and controlled the cut is.

After posting my initial designs,

I finally finished the bird-shaped belt/strap cutter! I ended up using almost every tool in my workshop: CNC, nylon 3D prints, laser-cut brass parts, and probably a few things I’m forgetting.

I’ll post a video soon showing how it handles and cuts. It might still need a few tweaks, so I’m definitely open to suggestions. fun little project, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out :)

When attending markets , people really like the quality of hot foil embossing, so I added a few more designs to my collection of brass hotfoil stamps. Executed with my 20 watt fiberlaser.
