Temporary solution to S22 screen freezing plus rebooting on its own

My S22 started crapping out on me: device gets insanely hot, screen freezes on its own, restarting on its own, and battery life not even lasting a few hours. I tried everything, like updating OneUI (there was no update to do), restarting the phone, draining to 0% then charging to 100%, still nothing.

BUT as a last resort I left it in the freezer for an hour and the phone started working buttery smooth, as if I had just opened the device out of the box a couple years ago. Granted, after a few hours of normal use, the problems above proceeded to show up little by little. But if I throw it back in the freezer like before, then that temporarily fixes it once again. I will probably have to upgrade soon and back up all my data. I saw online that this seemed to be a surprisingly common issue among S22 users so I wanted to share this temporarily solution to make your device still useable until you upgrade. Hope this helps!

Apple store education discount vs apple refurbished vs costco

I'm a uni student who currently owns a windows laptop but it's starting to get really slow so I'm considering upgrading to a Macbook Air. Normally I buy all my laptops from Costco no questions asked due to their extended warranty and goated return policy but I found out the Apple store offers an education discount and their apple refurbished products are also extremely high quality, so I'm having trouble deciding on where I should buy a Macbook Air.

For reference, Costco has an M5 Macbook Air 13.6 Inch for $1489 but I can utilize the education discount at the Apple store and get it for $1359 instead. Currently, they don't have any 13.6 inch Macbooks Air at Apple's Refurbished store but that was another option I was considering too. It's to my understanding that Apple products at the Apple store never go on sale either unlike Costco. Since I can afford to wait it out, should I just wait until Costco's Macbook products go on sale? Or perhaps I should wait until Apple officially refurbishes their M5 Macbook Airs? I'm unsure where I will most get the best bang for my buck.
