Good afternoon all!

I am looking at buying an EV, and currently have a home in the US with 100A service. I have one breaker slot available, though all of my breakers are from early 2000 and I am told some may be able to be combined.

I have had two electricians out to look and both said 200A service would be needed, but questions in the car specific subreddits said I should check either y’all. If I wanted to do L2 charging, is there any way at all my current service would work? Or is it just too much to ask my current system?

Thanks in advance!

Hello all! Current ICE owner coming in peace, looking to join the EV community.

I recently drove a MachE and a Blazer EV and really liked them both. I guess I have two questions;

  1. What can I realistically expect from the included 120V charger per night? I have an electrician quoting me a 200A upgrade for a Level 2, but if I find a deal I want to move on it. I drive less than 40 miles as a commute total during the week, and I teach so I have summers off. Will a 120V trip my current panel at all if I’m on the garage circuit with nothing but a fridge plugged in?

  2. Anything I should know specifically versus a Blazer EV? Those are the two I am looking at and Blazer felt more polished but I definitely preferred the feel of the Mustang. Anything that should be a red flag?

Thanks in advance!!!

Hello all, current ICE owner coming in peace, looking to join up with the EV crowd.

I drove a Blazer EV today and really enjoyed the experience. I had two questions for people with any experience.

  2. Anything I should know specifically versus a Mach-E? Those are the two I am looking at and Blazer felt more polished but the infotainment and telematics give me pause. Anything that should be a red flag?

Thanks in advance!!!
