New to the i5 club. I didn't see a lot of phytonic blue on this sub so I'm giving it some love through this post

Happy new owner of a phytonic blue i5 edrive40.

I was excited to test the parking assistant as well as I live in a european city where parrallel parking is the norm, but it seems like 9 times out of 10, the car does not even recognize a parking space?

Is there something I missed? A setting that is needed? Or am I just asking it too much by parking in tight spaces?
