I wanna pull my hair out over my latency issue.

I'm having a latency issue in ableton 12. I'm running a UAD Apollo with external synths. The problem isnt that the audio is late but that it's early. I've tried lowering the sample rate, turning keep latency off, delay compensation etc. It's only doing it in a track that I'm currently working on that is about 45 tracks deep. I have a syth playing with an external instrument plugin and Im trying to record the audio to a separate audio track. I tested it in a new ableton session with only 1 external instrument and recording it back through an audio track and the recording is in time. Please help I've been sitting here for 2 hours trying to figure out what the problem is.

My restoration of my Hedd type 20 mk1 monitors.

Wanted to share the results of my restoration. My monitors had become gooey from that terrible rubber coating that manufacturers used in the 2010s. I wasn't sure what I should do about it. Wrap them or plasti dip them. After watching many YouTube video of Hifi guys restoring or changing the look of their speakers. I decided to use a product called Rustoleum peel coat. I stripped all the old rubber goo off with running alcohol. Taped up all the lines for the speaker plates with 3m automotive masking tape.. It was quite easy because the plates offered a nice guide for the razorblade to cut the mask clean. I used plastic from a platic tarp to cover the speaker element. I set up my spray tent in the garage. I went through about 1 can of the product. I used a handle attachment for the can for consistency. The results came out great and I couldn't be happier. I figure I'd post for anyone else out there with these monitors and the same problem. I posted before and after photos and process.

Trying to figure out where op-xy fits in my workflow

My op-xy came 3 days ago. Ive got a pretty good grasp on its interface at this point. Im trying to figure out what its purpose will be in my workflow though. I have it all synced up to ableton and it setup as an aggregate device with my interface so its audio/midi input outputs are available in any session. I find myself getting lost in it for a couple of hours at a time but when I sit down to try and write a releasable track(I make mainly progressive house) in my DAW idk what its purpose is. I pulled the trigger on this over another hardware synth and cant decide if I should give it more time with the op-xy or return it for another piece of hardware. Im just interested how others have integrated the op-xy into serious sessions.

Are all the knobs supposed to have different resistance on op-xy

I just got a new op-xy. I notice the white parameter knob is not as clicky and has less resistance than the others. Is this common on a lot of units due to manufacturing tolerance or did I just get a bad one.

Shiny spots after initial coat of stain

Hello, I have these small shiny spots after pre conditioning the wood and applying my first coat of oil based stain. Can someone tell me what that is from and if I can fix it. I'm very new to working with wood and don't know much.

I'm getting some chop from my sessions randomly. My cpu bar is only at 15%. I have a M2 Mac mini with 16gb of ram. My question is, is it possible my SSD performance which has my samples and omnisphere library on it is old and has degraded performance. The drive is 7-10 years old.

I have a set of Hedd type 20mk1 monitors. The mk1 model had that terrible rubber coating on them. Then on the MK2 they got ride if it. It's gotten really sticky and they look really bad. I was thinking about removing the rubber coating and taking them to a viynl wrap shop and having them wrapped. Has anyone done this or have pictures of the end results? I can't find anything online. I see that a lot of the hifi guys have done it to their home setups.
