First time playing, Challenge Mode a good option?

I just got the game today and saw that they added a challenge mode last week.

Is it worth playing the challenge mode, when I've not touched the game before? (I've played the free tutorial over 1 year ago on steam)

That being said, I don't mind dying a lot, I don't mind min/maxing and grinding a lot. I've been

What I don't like are rpgs that tend to become extremely easy in the later chapters, when the character gets overpowered, so in theory I don't mind negative modifiers. I could also go for veteran, if the difficulty is well enough balanced in the late game.

I recently started playing Space Marines 2 and i really like the campaign and the story. I personally dont like the gameplay, thats why i dont see myself playing it a lot. I also played a good 500h of Darktide (and vermintide) but the story is basically non-existend.

I wonder if there are any other 40k games, that have a lot of good story, but are also fun to play?
