Honest story — this app exists because I was tired of the same situation playing out every time I went out with friends.
The bill arrives. Someone suggests splitting equally. But one person had two cocktails and a steak, someone else had water and a salad. Nobody says anything, but everyone silently does the math and feels a little cheated. Every. Single. Time.
I tried Splitwise, Tricount, and a few others — but they all felt like overkill for a simple dinner, and still required everyone to sign up or do manual maths. So I built something simpler.
SplitEven works like this: 📸 Photograph the receipt → AI reads every item and price automatically 👆 Tap to assign each item to whoever ordered it 🧾 Everyone gets an exact breakdown — their items + their share of tax and tip 📤 Share it via WhatsApp, iMessage, or any app — friends don't need to download anything
That's genuinely it. No accounts for your friends. No subscriptions. No equal splits where someone quietly overpays.
I've also added a History tab so you can look back at any past split — useful for that one friend who insists they already paid you back 😅
