Lymow’s RTK diagnostic screen could make base placement deterministic
Lymow could make the RTK diagnostic page much more definitive by showing the actual common-view satellites, not just total counts. The mower has to mow where it has to mow. If it can see certain satellites there that the RTK base cannot, especially clustered in one direction, that means the base location could be improved. If the RTK base always sees every satellite the mower sees, plus more, then moving the base probably will not improve RTK positioning. Total satellite counts alone cannot prove this. Per-satellite IDs, used/not-used status, and sky direction could.
This would both 1) save us the hassle of trying to reposition the RTK if our yard is going to have problems no matter what, and 2) let us know a better position could exist for the RTK and to try it. If you've not run a GPS debug-type app on your phone, you may be surprised to see how much information is viewable about used satellites.
