Aitah for convincing my friend to get revenge on his bully when we were 13?
hi! I’m new to Reddit and I made this account to mainly tell this story. so let’s just begin. I’ll set the scene, when I was about 13 I was having a great time in school but my friends were kind of in the bad crowd I weirdly became less bulllied after I came out as bisexual (because I guess the bullies didn’t want people to think they were homophobic?) anyway this story begins on a normal wednesday English lesson. in English I sat next to my friend, who we will call David (m13) for the purpose of privacy, and in english we both used chromebooks because we both had dyslexia. now unfortunately on this fateful day, david opened up his Chromebook to log in but, OH NO! An account was already logged into his account! he was about to log out of the account and log into his, until we noticed the name on the account, his bully.
we will call him gazza (m16). now Gazza has been tormenting David until the start of school, taking lunch, calling names and. even physical violence. anyway i told him that he should ruin him, but he didn’t want to, he was scared. I reminded him that since he wasn’t in his account there was no way to prove he did it, so he agreed. first he started fairly normal, and deleted all of his google docs and then left a docs saying something like “this will teach you to sign out of your account. and I deleted all of your docs.” this was revenge enough I felt, but David didn’t feel the same. he proceeded to go into Gazza’s google classroom and announce I the N WORD! on gazzas tutor group google classroom!!!!! he then though that was revenge enough then and stopped and we proceeded with the lesson.
we forgot about it for ages until we realised that, gazza wasnt present for ages, and then we saw it, gazza and two really nice black people we know. lets call them barry and Larry (both m16.) and they were ABSOLUTELY BEATING HIM UP!!! david and I couldn’t believe our eyes. They were punching him and kicking him and breaking his things. and then it happened Larry grabbed gazza by the neck and ran him headfirst into the wall. he fell to the floor, not moving. barry and Larry then left him alone. we saw gazza four months later, paralyzed and in a wheelchair. He broke nearly a quarter of his bones, and had BRAIN DAMAGE!!! I was horrified. David was happy.
so am I the asshole for convincing my friend to write the n word on his bully’s google classroom, leading to get the bully beaten of stolen from and paralysed. I really want help as even thoughts this was ages ago, I still feel horrible as a close family member became paralysed and she frequently tells me how horrible it is. So can some one tell me, am I the asshole.
