I don't mind if you press red or blue. The problem is people don't understand the moral reasoning of red, and this has implications for public policy
Two incorrect things people say is "pushing red is based on emotion" or "reds don't care if blues die"
You can push red without thinking red will win or wanting red to win. This is because of probability. If you think blue is 95% likely to win, then pushing blue is a 5% risk of killing yourself (while pushing red is only bad if you are the deciding vote)
People are allowed to be self-interested. We sometimes think self-interest is like a politician taking bribes, which would be immoral. But it's ok for a politician to choose a policy that benefits himself the same way it benefits other people in his area. There is no obligation to sacrifice yourself in a misguided attempt to help others
Further, there is a moral obligation to preserve your own life (e.g. many religions consider suicide to be immoral). This is not to say that blues would be judged, since they have a good reason for pushing blue. But we should see red as a good choice, since it saves more lives on average (i.e. your own) than risking it on blue
