Pokemon Genlocke - Leg 4 - Pokemon White
This was by far the most challenging leg I've done so far - I had so many deaths and made so many mistakes. I lost my OG Elekid to a cyclist next to Nimbasa City from a crit payback from a Scraggy which was embarrassing, I lost Emboar to a girl in Twist Mountain with a Throh. I was planning to bench Ponyta for good but after the Emboar death, Rapidash definitely deserved a shot especially since by now after training it would be close to evolution.
Then, I got absolutely demolished at the last portion of the game - I lost Sudowoodo, Zebstrika AND Roserade BACK TO BACK in the Opelucid Gym (just the trainers!). At this point I'm so deflated I take break and have to train up 3 new members so I choose Pansage, Herdier and Stunfisk who end up going to the Ghetsis fight.
My main concern for the Elite 4 was Marshall. Mothim CLEANED up Caitlin like it was nobody's business even taking a thunder from Reunicles to the face and SURVIVING. At this point I'm +1 quiver dance and just sweep with Bug Buzz in Swarm range. Fighting types was a clear weakness for this team since they all had some sort of rock coverage move Mothim was out of the question for Marshall ALTHOUGH I risked it with Mothim against the Conkeldurr with an Air Slash and holding a bright powder which luckily worked out perfectly.
I was so nervous for the back-to-back N and Ghetsis fight - I tragically lost Rapidash to the Zoroark illusion. Deep down I knew a Klingklang had no business wanting to fight my Simisage but I second guessed myself and clicked Flare Blitz over Megahorn and before I knew it my beloved horse died before even reaching Ghetsis. Stunfisk's ONLY purpose was dealing with Reshiram but it ended up being an MVP against Ghetsis too. I ended up losing Simisage to Eelektross' acrobatics since I forgot about it and I lost Stoutland to a Bouffalant crit Head Smash.
Overall, this leg was so rough but could've gone a lot worse and I've lost the last of my Johto representation :( - I also dont know what a Burmy or Stunfisk can offer me going into BW2 but I'm optimistic.
