Hi! I posted awhile about a party decor business focusing on kids events. I’ve started it, with other areas of concessions, lawn games, and giant custom flower rentals. In 2 weeks, I have about $750 in bookings. Which is great! But I live in a cold climate and most of my rentals are the lawn games and concessions, which after October-November will die off.

Does anyone who does this have ideas for items to rent in winter? I mostly want to stick to smaller stuff that’s family focused (but open to other ideas). Some of my ideas have been “cold weather indoor kits” like using my outdoor projector and making it an indoor movie kit, or a fort building set, etc. I also live in a huge college town, so maybe some tailgating rentals?

I’m fine with small stuff that’s like $20 to rent- this is just extra income so I can be a SAHM to two kids.

Thanks for any ideas!

Hi everyone! Posting to ask for some suggestions to the group that would use the items the most!

I just started a small party rental business to stay home with my 8 month old. It’s going well but we live in a cold climate so I know come November, I’ll be much slower.

Trying to think of potential expansions that people with children would want to rent in winter where it’s cold. Was thinking maybe themed indoor activities? For example, an indoor movie night with a smaller projector, or a fort kit with s’mores supplies, or maybe indoor mini golf?

Open to anything you think could be useful to add - from actual items like sleds, etc!

Thanks!
