Hi, I’m a Grade 12 student in BC doing both the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and the regular BC Dogwood Diploma.

I’ve already been accepted to McGill University for a Bachelor of Arts, and I’m a bit confused about the final admission conditions.

If I don’t get the IB Diploma (for example, I fail IB overall), but I still graduate with my BC Dogwood and my school grades are solid… what happens?

• Will McGill revoke the offer?
• Or do they mainly look at BC grades in this case?
• Has this actually happened to anyone here?

I’ve heard mixed things — some people say McGill only really cares about your provincial (BC) grades, but others say failing IB can affect your offer.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s been in this situation or knows how McGill handles it.
