So, I've been off T for 2 months now and I do not plan on returning back to it. I took it for three years. It's been two years since my hairline was last how I wanted to see it so I decided to quit taking it before it got any worse however I'm worried the damage has been done and I cannot get back my hairline. The doctor prescribed me minxodil and finastride but I don't want to take minxodil for the rest of my life. Supposedly Finastride blocks DHT and I still have it in my system since my hair is still falling and I haven't spotted or gotten my periods yet. I'm scared to take finastride because there's a shedding phase and I'm worried it might make my hair worse if I quit taking it after estrogen takes back over my body because id figure my hair will stop falling out then since the cause of my hairloss is DHT. However, I don't want to start a drug that will make it worse or one I'll have to take for the rest of my life. I've heard of lucky detrans ftmtf that naturally their hair grows back since they weren't on hormones for a long time but it takes 12 months or longer. Should I just go natural? Like pumpkin seeds and rosemary and avoid any kind of side effects minxodil and finastride will give me? Since I'm not taking testosterone I don't see the point in me taking these medications for life or worsening my hair condition by depending on them.
