Since gas prices have risen recently in Texas, reaching $4.15 per gallon, I’ve been fueling up our company’s vans to approximately 17 to 18 gallons per tank. Additionally, I fuel up a 5-gallon tank, usually staying under 24 gallons because the vans’ fuel tanks can only hold up to 23 gallons, sometimes even 24 gallons. When I’m doing this, I usually subtract about 100 miles from the odometer reading. We have our own unique identification number for the vans, and of course, the odometer readings are also recorded. Do you think my company will eventually catch on? I find myself doing this more frequently than ever before, and I feel a bit guilty about it. How do they track of this info ? 9 vans and 6 box trucks.
