I was driving from Raleigh NC to Washington DC this morning, with 98% charge at home and was hoping i would reach DC with about 30~ miles left (door to door 275 miles), initially tesla navigation recommended i top up a bit closer to DC just in case
then after 20-30 mins of driving, range dropped to under 60% 

I have only had this car for 2 weeks, not as cold, about 48F and solo driver with minimal climate control, 

Energy app shows 24% Usage per current trip, but navigation shows 50% spent already, was going crazy this morning driving in. 

any insights
