Insane mousepad static electricity (gsr se II II blue)

Bought gsr se II II blue because I heard it has great humidity resistance. Its smooth surface feeling on the arm is also a huge plus for me since I have sweaty hands and arms. However, the unbearable issue I’m having is that it builds up an insane amount of static friction/electricity with my GPX Superlight using the original stock skates. I’ve heard many pro players use this mousepad with the GPX too, but I can’t find much information on how they deal with the static issue.

I also heard that small dot skates can dramatically reduce the problem. Does anyone have suggestions for which dot skates to try?

Game: Overwatch
Sensitivity: 800* 7

Why are mousepads still so bad at dealing with sweat in 2026?

This is a complaint and advice seeking post maybe, but hear me out.

I'm a fps gamer for 8 years. Currently using QCK Pro Balance, playing OW only with 800 × 7 sensitivity. After trying so many mousepads including QCK Heavy, QCK Pro Balance, Razer Strider, BenQ ZOWIE G SR SE, X Raypad Aqua Control 2, and Wallhack SP004, I genuinely feel like the entire mousepad industry is bullshit, focusing on stuff like “control,” “speed,” “balanced,” soft, firm, large, small, yet not a single one of them can solve the most basic issue with hand sweat.

My hands sweat, not insanely compared to some people I’ve seen on the internet, but it still affects my aim dramatically. The entire underside of my hand, fingers, and palm sweat while playing games. Because of this, I can’t hold the mouse stably for more than 1 minute. I’m using claw grip, and the back of my palm creates stickiness and friction with the mousepad whenever it directly contacts it. I’ve tried aiming with no hand contact on the mousepad, but my aim becomes much worse and never reaches my usual level compared to when my palm naturally rests on the pad (I'm not force press my hand on to mousepad). And my arm sticks to the mousepad anyway.

And before people give advice like “just use a sleeve,” “use AC,” “clean your hands frequently,” “use a dehumidifier,” “use a fan,” or “use antiperspirant,” I’ve tried all of them. I’m going to be honest here. They only help slightly, but the issue still exists or they create new problems.

  • Sleeve: I’m using a Wallhack sleeve now. It's better than hand/arm directly contact my qck mousepad, but the sleeve itself creates friction with the mousepad too. When aiming, I can directly feel the friction increase when moving the mouse faster, and it also wrinkles more when I move my mouse further. This creates inconsistency that constantly messes with muscle memory. I’ve also tried Pulsar sleeves and regular sports sleeves. Same issue.
  • AC: It doesn’t matter how cold my room is, my hands still sweat when playing games. My hands can literally feel freezing cold and still sweat. I know a lot of people have this issue too.
  • Clean hands frequently: I can’t wash my hands every fucking 1 minute, and the moment I hold the mouse again, the sweating starts again.
  • Desk fan: Currently have two pointing at my hands. They help massively, but they still can’t help with sweat on the palm or parts of the fingers that don’t get airflow.
  • Antiperspirant: Tried Gamer Grip Gaming Cream for Sweaty Hands. I’ll be honest, it’s useless and just makes it look like I’m playing with cum on my hands.
  • Glass pad plus sleeve: Okay, now there’s no friction, but now I also can’t aim. After 30 days of using them, my aim was still much worse than when using a cloth pad, plus it has issue with other things like dust.

With every expectation that a new mousepad will finally solve this issue comes another disappointment in the end. I’m exhausted at this point. Having sweaty hands while playing FPS games genuinely feels like being disabled in sports. For moments that I had bad aim, I just wanna cry cause I can feel it's the hand stick to mousepad/hand can't grab mouse stably/sleeve wrinkles....issues that are impossible to fix with aim practice.

Moreover, I see so many discussions about solutions for sweaty hands, and people always recommend all the things I listed above. But why? Why is the solution always us adapting instead of the product itself actually solving the problem? Why don’t cloth pad companies invent their own sleeves specifically designed to pair with their pads? Why can’t they invent something where even if your hands sweat, you can still glide smoothly on the mousepad consistently?

I'm buying some Artisan mousepad now. If the issue remains, I think I'm going to quit playing fps until there is a REAL solution comes out.

Tracer is no longer the best pick?

Beginner here. Before playing this game, I always heard that Tracer is the ultimate final boss hero that if you are good enough at her, nobody can stop you. In comparison, I also heard that Reaper has an outdated kit and becomes mostly useless beyond Diamond.

However, I watched the match between ZETA DIVISION and Crazy Raccoon, and noticed that Proper and Heesung who many people consider two of the best Tracer players did not play Tracer and instead chose Reaper and Symmetra near the end (except the last round in the end).

I know there could be personal reasons why they didn't pick Tracer, but can anyone help me understand whether picking Tracer in those games would actually have been worse than playing Reaper?
