Can’t take Cash App currently due to an account issue.
May be able to use Venmo, PayPal, or Apple Cash depending on what works. My PayPal and Apple Cash are newer accounts, so larger amounts may not go through.
(This is the best flair I could find because it’s not a question but like just be aware because I couldn’t find anything about this in here and I looked, I don’t know if I looked correctly but I did look)
Hey y’all, just wanted to give a warning because I genuinely never saw anyone talk about this in here before.
Be careful using Cash App for cross trading.
My account ended up getting flagged for “suspicious activity” and then closed even though:
• all my transactions were authorized by me
• I never chargebacked anyone. I didn’t really buy things through Cash App besides normal purchases with my Cash App card at stores
• I never used unauthorized payments. All my payments and linked bank accounts were mine and only mine
• my account was under my real legal identity/information
• and I even had PIN security enabled for transactions.
I know it was most likely from cross trading because that is basically the only thing I use Cash App for besides normal personal transactions.
I’m currently appealing it with support right now.
I’m NOT saying cross trading automatically gets you banned from Cash App because obviously tons of people use it without issues. But I think repeated stranger-to-stranger transactions and failed payments may trigger their automated fraud/risk systems.
So yeah, just a heads up because this completely caught me off guard and I couldn’t really find information about this happening in here beforehand.
