I have a 2000 Suzuki DF25 and on the first run of the season it was running great for about a minute or two at full throttle. After a short run it started to loose power and after coming to a complete stop it would blow white smoke and then run fine. I removed the thermostat, which was open when I took it out and ran it without for another couple of passes and it was fine after that. Still have to put the thermostat back in and try again. The motor did not smoke after removing the thermostat. I wonder if something was clogged up and it worked its way through the motor. Any ideas?
