Me and my fiance managed to book some cheap UC tickets: LHR - Mumbai. 60,000 return in total, as the companion covered the second ticket without using any miles.

I’m just wondering how the bonus points work whilst using my existing Virgin Card.

Do you get double points? I worked it out at £1800 for two tickets I should received 5,400 for the booking alone via the card.

For the actual miles flown, 8,408 return x 300% = 25,222 points. Additionally, my fiance should also receive her own set of equivalent “miles flown” points.

So essentially I should receive a total of 30,622 point credit after I complete my flights?

Is this correct or completely wrong?!

Planning a trip in October which will revolve around a lot of beach days. Coming from the UK

Is it a good time to visit? Don’t want the days to be written off because of rain.

Probably been asked a million times, but our honeymoon timing lines up for this time and we would ideally like to go away straight away after the wedding.

Are we going to be washed out? We want to do all the standard tourist attractions and end with a week on the beach, basically visiting the whole of Thailand.

I’ve been to Vietnam multiple times during rainy season, some rain early mornings, dry until mid afternoon and then another brief downpour but never been washed out the whole day. Is it similar to this?
