Should I continue playing, even though it's frustrating as a beginner?

I started playing 2 days ago, never having played league before, and during the first 3-4 hours I had a blast. It was a lot of fun and I couldn't get enough. But as I continued playing yesterday and today it got more and more frustrating and less fun at the same rate.

It's not that I'm feeling overwhelmed, the core mechanics are relatively simple and guides help a lot. It's probably a lack of skill, obviously, but what bothers me is that I am constantly getting thrown against absolutely op sweat opponents. Like, I just wanna walk down the lane to get to objective and then I get jumped by two players who are at least two levels above me and then get comboed to death in 1 second.

Now, I guess that's reasonable if they are high level players, but why do I have to fight people like that in my first hours of gaming?

Is the matchmaking just that ass or is this game just full of smurfs? If so, then there are at least 2-3 smurfs in every game.

I am not bothered about losing and learning, I am bothered about losing so fast I don't even get to learn.

Now, what I want to know is whether it gets better at some point and how to deal with the frustration until then?

Because the core gameplay is really fun, but being stomped in every game is not at all. If I don't get to fight other newbies I at least would like to know how to physically and mentally deal with the sweats that gank me every match.

Please help and thank you.
