This is Arlo he is in 19 month old male ball python. When if I first got him 3 months ago he was at 867 g. This was due to me feeding him every 7 days as advised by the pet shop but I found that at his age he should only be eating 10 to 14 days so I have now changed his feeding scheduled to that and I’ve noticed that he’s gotten a lot more skinnier. Is this healthy body weight and I was too used to him whilst he was obese or is this too skinny and I should either size up his feed or his feeding schedule more often? (the pictures of red are him now and the pictures are blue are when I first about got him)

For context, this is Arlo, my 19 month old ball python, i’ve had him for about 2/3 months, I fed him yesterday but before that I had attempted feeding him last week, but it wasn’t successful. He didn’t eat . That means before yesterday he hadnt ate for about 3/4 weeks . normally after eating he’s really chill. I don’t touch him or handle him for about 48 to 72 hours. Today I was just checking up on him, just looking through the glass, and he kind of coiled up and immediately went towards me he didn’t strike, but he just kind of looked like he was preparing to strike . This isn’t like him normally he’s really chill after eating. He just kind of just stays there so I’m wondering if this could just be that he’s still hungry or he still kind of in hunger mode because I do know that that goes on for quite a little bit before they settle down. Thankyou! His temps are normal I’ve got all the lighting stuff that I need so says humidity. I think the only thing that I could say is that on Tuesday I bought a new enclosure are much bigger one than his last one but he’s been acclimating towards that really nicely .
