Hi all, during installation of a modchip in my switch lite, i had to take out the battery cable from the connector on the mobo, and while doing that the connector got partly loose. I have seen people repairing this with a new part and a sort of heat gun, but only for the normal switch, not switch lite. Does anyone know if that’s the way to go here as well, or can i solder it?

Hi all,

I just modded my switch lite with a picofly chip. The problem is: when i press the power button, the picofly chip starts flashing a blue light a couple of times (sometimes once, sometimes 5 times, and just now 11 times), then finishes with a green light flash, but the screen doesn’t turn on.

I started this project months ago, and just finished it, but the battery probably died during these months, so i have the switch plugged into a charger now. This doesn’t make a difference however, the switch does these light flashes when i have it plugged in or when i have it out of the charger.

Some things to note: i don’t have a multimeter (yet) so i cannot check my soldering. Also, i have never flashed the modchip with firmware, as i never got it to show up on my pc, but i just read today that this might be because of the type of cable i was using. I ordered a new cable to do this, but do you think that is the (only) problem here?

What would be the best way to go about debugging this?

Hi all, I just posted something but i have another question: i went on to pretin the following points, but i accidentally soldered these points circled in red as well. Is that a problem? Im following a youtube tutorial and this guy also accidentally tinned an extra point, and said it doesn’t matter. I don’t know anything about circuit boards, so I would like to know if that also goes for these points, and if so why. I tried getting it off with copper wick, but it only removed the bulb, and not everything.

Hi all, modding my first switch lite (and also soldering for the first time). I would love if someone could tell me if these joints look okay? If not, any tips on how to make them better would be appreciated. I don’t have one of those voltage meters that you can check the joints with later (or whatever those are called) so i need to do it by eye. Thanks!
