Looking-Back instead of Memory or Remember

Hi! I'm working on being more conceptual when I "receive" signed language.

I notice that a lot of videos that I watch where signers are recounting a memory or a story from their past, they use the LOOK-BACK sign but I've never seen someone sign memory or remember. Can you maybe explain the right contexts to be using these?

These are my thoughts:
Memory is a noun - "I have a good memory" "That brings back a memory"
Remember is a verb - "Did you remember this?"
Look-back is .... ?? I feel like I short circuit every time I see it and my first thought is of "hindsight."

I'd like to know why this sign seems more popular in ASL if you can understand my question haha. It's usually like (and forgive me if my glossing is poor) DESCRIBE STORY PAST LOOK-BACK INTERESTING. If I were to reformulate this into English, is it the same concept as "I'm telling you about an experience/memory that I have from a long time ago." And would it ever be natural to sign, REMEMBER STORY PAST INTERESTING, like if I was paraphrasing?

Thanks :) sorry if this doesn't quite make sense.

P.S. the videos I refer to are from the effective interpreting series so they might be dated.

The context of the sentence to my knowledge is "my parents are hearing, (this sign) my birth as a deaf kid, they didn't know what to do and they struggled to figure what to do to communicate with me." Please help T_T I've spent like thirty minutes trying to find information about it.

At first I thought it was similar to decide, but I don't think that fits well? Thank you so much.

Sooo, I am probably going to pull the trigger on the Sunbeam Horizon Eagle & I'm curious if I need to involve my carrier at all?

My vision is that once I receive it, I can just insert my current SIM into my new phone and back into my S22 whenever I need to, is that right? Is there anything else to be aware of for that first day? : ) Thank you all!

Hi! I'm trying to go to the beach for a few days this summer (end of June or July) but I don't know anything about them despite having visited each of the main ones here at least once over the last decade lol. I don't really understand what the differences are between them except the state they're located in. I know of Nags head, Bethany Beach, obx, va beach, Myrtle, Ocean City.... Haven't been to nags Head or some of the others. I get them mixed up.

I live in Fairfax county. We are 30. I tried looking up in this subreddit but most results i found were from covid or a decade old.

I guess I just want a chill weekend away with my boyfriend, nothing crazy, but I want to enjoy a clean and quiet area with lots of tasty food and views. Maybe some date activities like an adult arcade or idfk an archery range hahaha I really just want to have fun and vibe with my partner. Maybe if there's any special events or celebrations I wasnt able to find online in this timeframe?

Bonus if you have hotel or air BNB recs (I have beach front in mind but not sure how realistic that is depending on my as yet to be determined budget?) or more information to help me narrow down my choice!

Thank you ♡ sorry I'm clueless :( I struggle with this indecision every year and every year I put it off

I really like reading these for my class, and I keep finding myself wanting to see what others think. But I don't wanna just make a million posts for each one I find interesting.

That being said, I would love to know what yall think of #851, 853, and 854. :P

851 - A deaf woman asks if you would interpret a 6 wk bible study class because she really wants to attend but the church doesn't have the funds and she can't afford it. She offers in exchange to clean your house each week. You can't help but think you're getting the better end of the deal.
(Is it unethical? CPC Tenet 6.7-6.8 say fair and reasonable, is it fair an reasonable if you both agree it is?)

853 - A friend asks you to interpret for her deaf brother at their father's retirement party and when you tell her your rates she is silent before saying "I assumed you would do it as a favor."
(I think at this point you would say sorry girl but, this is my livelihood.)

854 - A woman you recently met socially through your husband requests you interpret a lecture she is coordinating. She doesn't inquire about your rates, she offers you an exorbitant amount of money that she has budgeted. She could pay for four terps with that amount.
(On one hand I'd love to take the money, but it's probably not ethical haha.)
